Obituary | Holly L. Gassner, 59, of West Bend

Feb. 18, 2019 – West Bend, WI – Holly L. Gassner (nee Scadden), 59, of West Bend, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

On December 24, 1959, Holly was born in Elkhorn, WI to Willis and Joyce Scadden and later grew up, graduating in Hartford.   She was united in matrimony to Robert Gassner on March 24, 1984 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, West Bend, WI.

 

Holly possessed a community focused spirit with her involvement in various activities to include, but not limited to: her church (St. Frances Cabrini, and most recently St. Mary Immaculate Conception Parish), Moose Lodge, West Bend High School Band and Athletic Departments, Masonic Lodge Activities and both Boy and Girl Scouts, as well as the activities that her (grand)children participated in.  Her most prominent characteristics were her genuine compassion for others and natural ability to connect with people, making them feel like family.  Above all, Holly loved the time she spent with her children, especially her grandson, Jared.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Robert; beloved children, Justin and Janel Gassner; grandson, Jared Gassner-York; mother, Joyce Scadden; sister, Heidi (Rex) Miller; brothers-in-laws, Thomas (Joan) and Daniel Gassner; and nieces and nephew; Crystal Gassner, Ali, August, and Aubre Miller . She was preceded in death by: Willis Scadden (father) and Robert and Catherine (Anna) Gassner (parent in-laws).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 23, 2019, noon, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 1025 S 7th Ave, West Bend, WI 53095.

Visitation will be Friday, February 22, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St. West Bend, WI. 53095 and on Saturday at Cabrini from 11:00 am until the time of Mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated and will be used to ensure her legacy continues.
