Rotary Students of the Month from Hartford Union H.S.

The Hartford Rotary Club and Hartford Union High School are pleased to announce that Emily Hirsch, Samantha Noennig, and Bryce Patin were honored recently as Rotary Students of the Month. The students were given special recognition for their accomplishments at the Hartford Rotary Club’s Thursday noon meetings during the month of December.

Emily Hirsch is the daughter of Lori and Dan Richolson and Jon Hirsch and Margaret Ruf. Hirsch has been active in co-curricular activities while attending Hartford Union High School. She is in her second year as a member of the National Honor Society. Hirsch has participated in the fall musical all four years of high school and recently played the role of Minnie Fay in the HUHS production of Hello Dolly. Hirsch has also been involved in the spring plays at HUHS. She is a member of the HUHS concert choir and has competed in the regional and state Solo and Ensemble festivals for the past four years. Hirsch was nominated for the exemplary soloist award at the state Solo and Ensemble festival. She is also a member of the Math Club and Math Team.
Hirsch has given back to her community by doing volunteer work for the HUHS National Honor Society and the Hartford Relay for Life. She has been a member of the Hartford Players since the age of 10.
Hirsch plans to attend UW-Madison as Biology major with a focus on pre-medicine. She later hopes to pursue a career as a geneticist.

Samantha Noennig is the daughter of Tom and Deb Noennig. Noennig has been very active in co-curricular activities all four years at Hartford Union High School. She has earned varsity letters in Track and Field and Girls Basketball and has served as team captain in each sport. Noennig is a member of the National Honor Society and the H-Club.
Noennig has been ranked in the top 10 in her class and on the high honor roll all four years at Hartford. She is also a four time All-State Track Athlete and a three time State Champ. In 2015, Noennig was named a high school All-American and earned a spot on Team USA for the 2015 IAAF World Youth Championships.
Noennig has given back to her community by volunteering her time as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army and participating in the annual Toys 4 Tots Drive, Thanksgiving Food Drive, and Shamrock Shuffle at HUHS.
Noennig has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete in Track and Field for Arizona State University. She has been accepted into the Barrett Honors College and plans to major in Kinesiology and pursue a career in Physical Therapy.

Bryce Patin is the son of Jamie and Steve Patin. Patin has been active in co-curricular activities at Hartford. He participated in Football in grades 9 and 10 and has been a member of the Basketball and Baseball programs all four years at Hartford. Patin has earned varsity letters in all three sports and is the captain of the Varsity Boy’s Basketball Team this year. He is a member of the National Honor Society, H-Club, and the DECA and FBLA Clubs. Patin has been on the high honor roll the first six semesters of high school and recently received an AP Scholar Award.
Patin has given back to his community by doing volunteer work at the Rossman School Fun Fair, the Toys 4 Tots and Thanksgiving Food Drives at HUHS, and working at local youth basketball and baseball camps.
After high school, Patin plans to attend a four-year university/college to pursue a career in medicine. He would like to become an orthopedic surgeon.
