Three people in custody following reported burglary in Germantown area | By Chief Peter Hoell

 

Sept. 26, 2018 – Germantown, WI – Update: Sept. 26, 5 p.m. Stolen Vehicle. The suspect vehicle was reported stolen to the Milwaukee Police Dept. on Sept. 26, 2018.

Press Release:  Daytime Residential Burglary, Suspect Vehicle Pursuit, Three in Custody
Date: Wednesday, September 26, 2018

On Wednesday, September 26 at approximately 2:34 p.m., a resident in the area of County Line Road and Amy Belle Road reported a burglary in progress to his home.

The resident described the suspects as three black males driving a gold colored sedan. After attempting to enter the garage and entering his vehicle, the suspects fled. Soon after the first call, a resident living in the same area called in the same vehicle and occupants.

Germantown Police Officers located the suspect vehicle, a 1998 Dodge Stratus, and attempted to stop it. The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed eastbound on County Line Road.

Attempts were made by Germantown and eventually Menomonee Falls Police to use tire deflation devices to stop the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle lost control and crashed at Falls Parkway and Pilgrim Road.

The three suspects were taken into custody.

One Germantown squad was damage at the crash scene. The crash is being investigated by the Menomonee Falls Police Department. No officers were injured.

One suspect was injured during the crash and was transported to Community Memorial Hospital with very minor injuries. How the suspects came into possession of the vehicle is still under investigation.

A third call was received by a resident in the same area that their vehicle had been entered as well. If you find that your vehicle or home was entered this afternoon, we would like you to call the Germantown Police Department at 262-253-7780.

16-year-old male from Milwaukee
15-year-old male from Milwaukee
15-year-old male from New London

The Germantown Police Department was assisted by the Menomonee Falls Police Department, the Washington County Sheriff’s Department responded to the area and the Menomonee Falls Fire Department.

The investigation is still very active and ongoing. No other information can be released at this time.
