September 9, 2019 – Hartford, WI – The Hartford Recreation Center hosted its annual Touch a Truck event at the Hartford Rec Center parking lot. A variety of vehicles from several departments throughout the City along with privately-owned trucks were on display for this free event.
Program supervisor Aldon Kaye said anyone is welcome. “The parents got inside the vehicle and the kids too, they really love it,” he said.
A couple vehicles on site included an armored truck from the Washington County Swat Team, a fire truck, a sanitation vehicle, a backhoe and a squad from the the Hartford Police Department.
There were over 600 visitors this year which was double the attendance from last year’s event.
