Washington County Sheriff

Dec. 13, 2016 – Trenton, WI – On Saturday, Dec. 11 at 4:51 p.m. the Washington County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Trenton Police Department with a domestic-related incident where the suspect left the residence in his truck.

He was also reported to be suicidal by a family member. While the Trenton Police Department was at the residence conducting the preliminary investigation, deputies responded to the area in an effort to locate the subject.

Approximately 40 minutes after the initial call, a patrol deputy located the suspect sitting in his vehicle on a property in the 7000 block of Trenton Road.

The deputy made verbal contact with the subject. He was non-compliant and would not exit the truck. The suspect yelled at the deputy several times that the deputy would have to shoot him.

Officers from the Trenton Police Department arrived to assist at which point the suspect exited his truck with his hands together giving the officers the impression he had a weapon.

He would not listen to commands and began walking towards the squad cars at which point a Trenton Officer deployed a Taser.

The suspect was then safely taken into custody and turned over to Trenton Police.
