VIDEO | 2018 results for the 4th annual Husar’s Diamond Dash

 

Dec. 2, 2018 – West Bend, WI – Temperatures dropped quickly Sunday night and a light rain switched to snow just in time for the start of the 4th annual Husar’s Diamond Dash at Regner Park.

The 5K (3.1 mile) run/walk had participants dashing through a dazzling array of lights at Enchantment in the Park.

The teenagers were top finishers.

Noah Jagielski, 17, of Slinger crossed the tape in 17 minutes and 13 seconds.

The top female finisher was 15-year-old Rosemarie Cleven from Cedarburg. She finished in 21 minutes and 13 seconds.

Diamond Dash 2018

 

 

On a history note: In 2017 the first-place runner was Eric Bilitz, 22, from Fond du Lac who crossed the finish in 16 minutes and 30 seconds. That was 25 seconds faster than the 2016 winner.

Kimberly Hurst, 21, of Greenfield was the first woman across the finish in 2017 with a time of 18:01.  Both first-place winners went home with a $500 Husar’s watch.

In 2016, sixteen-year-old Luke Guttormson from West Bend West High School ran the 3.1 mile course in a record 16 minutes and 55 seconds.

Monica Schaefer, 29, of Adell was the first female finisher; she crossed in 21 minutes and 21 seconds.
