VIDEO | Join the American Tribute Ride – An event that supports First Responders | By Ron Naab

July 18, 2018 – Washington Co., WI – On July 28, a very unique experience will be happening in Forest Junction.

The 6th Annual American Tribute Ride [ATR] will be starting at the Forest Junction Fire Station.  The event is led by Ron Naab of the Allenton Fire Department and his wife Ann.

Money raised from this ride, that is open to 2, 3 and 4 wheelers, supports the following organizations:

Concerns of Police Survivors-WI, Wisconsin Summer Camp for Burn Injured Youth, Wisconsin State Firefighters Memorial, Stars and Stripes Honor Flights, and Wisconsin Veterans Housing and Recovery Program.

As part of the “kick off” program there will be a special balloon release and dedication of this year’s ride to honor a long-time committee member, Bruce Bintzler, who passed away in October.

Each year the ride course is different moving around the southern area of Wisconsin.  “We encourage the public along the routes to greet us as we travel through area, especially in the villages we will pass through,” said Naab. “It is very humbling to see people support us as we honor those that have unselfishly gave their lives serving others.”

Pastor Andrew Jones of Still Waters UMC Community Church and Reverend David Schlieter of New Horizons UCC will assist paying tribute with a brief recognition ceremony along with Gina Crossley, our traditional bagpiper, and Joe Pieper of the West Bend Community Band to those responders that have made the ultimate Sacrifice.
