In September 2015, West Bend East High School Social Studies teacher Scott Mindel began a project to pay tribute to ALL veterans – especially graduates of the West Bend High Schools.
Working in cooperation with reporter Judy Steffes and http://www.washingtoncountyinsider.com hundreds of submissions were gathered. Mindel has now crafted a video: West Bend High Schools Veterans Memorial.
A note from Mindel is below:
It is a movie of all of the pictures of the veterans that you helped me collect last fall. The film does not include all of the veterans as I do not have pictures for all of them. At this point, I have received information on over 300 veterans. As I receive more pictures, I will update the film as necessary.
You can also post the following message from me:Â If you notice any veterans that need to be added, please send me the following information to [email protected] and I will produce an updated version – name, school, graduation year, branch of service, years of service and a service photo.
