Hartford, WI – The City of Hartford, WI, is taking applications for alderperson to represent District 2. The opening occurred following the April 1, 2025, election where incumbent Dennis Regan won the mayoral race.
Applications must be turned into the City Clerk, 109 N. Main Street in Hartford, WI. All applications including a resume and letter of interest must be received prior to Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
Proof of residency in the Second Aldermanic District must also be provided. Potential candidates are also required to appear at the May 13, 2025, Common Council meeting at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Lower Level, City Hall.
Each candidate will have three minutes to address the Common Council after which Alderpersons will be given an opportunity to interview each candidate.
The person selected to fill the seat will actually complete Regan’s unfinished term which runs through April 2026.
As of May 1, 2025, the city clerk had received one application from Craig Westfall.
If that name sounds familiar, Westfall served for from October 2018 to April 2025 on the Hartford Union High School Board.
