December 10, 2025 – Dodge Co., Wi – On Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 8:27 a.m., Dodge County deputies responded to a three-vehicle crash on State Highway 49 near County Highway YY, in the township of Leroy, Dodge County Wisconsin.

Highway 49 was closed between County Highway YY to the south and County Highway YY to the north for the duration of the incident and subsequent investigation. Highway 49 has now reopened.
Initial investigation shows that a 2005 Peterbilt semi car hauler with trailer, operated by a 32-year-old male from Athens, was eastbound on STH 49.
A Toyota Rav-4, operated by a 48-year-old female from Brookfield, was westbound on STH 49 and following a Dodge County Highway Department plow truck that was conducting plowing operations.
The third vehicle was a Toyota Highlander, being operated by a 63-year-old male from Campbellsport and was traveling westbound on STH 49 and behind the Toyota Rav-4. The Toyota Rav-4 lost control and crossed the center line of the roadway and into the eastbound lane and collided with the Peterbilt.
The Peterbilt pushed the Toyota Rav-4 backwards and into the path of the Toyota Highlander. The Peterbilt entered the south ditch, and the two vehicles came to rest in the roadway.
The driver of the Peterbilt was taken to Waupun Hospital for examination. The driver of the Toyota Highlander was transported by EMS to Froedtert Hospital in West Bend with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Toyota Rav-4 was pronounced deceased on scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Assisting at the scene were Brownsville Fire Department, Mayville EMS, Fond du Lac EMS, Dodge County Emergency Response Team, Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Names of those involved are being withheld pending family notification. The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team
