10 departments respond to house fire in Town of Addison | By Sgt Brad Rodich

April 26, 2025 – Town of Addison, WI – Eight departments from Washington County, WI, responded to a house fire in St. Anthony on Saturday afternoon.
At 12:19pm, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center took a 911 call of a residence on fire on CTH W north of St. Anthony Road. The sole occupant had exited and advised there was black smoke coming from everywhere. Deputies and Allenton Fire were subsequently dispatched to the scene.

Upon the first units arriving, a large amount of smoke was found coming from the residence. Allenton Fire quickly upgraded the response to the Box Level. The fire was extinguished shortly after. The residence sustained a large amount of smoke and water damage, but the main structure was intact.

The investigation revealed the fire likely started in the basement from sparks entering the open cellar doors from a nearby burn pile. There are no damage estimates at this time.

The Allenton Fire Department was assisted by the St Lawrence, Kohlsville, Kewaskum, Hartford, West Bend, Slinger, Jackson, Iron Ridge and Theresa Fire Departments, as well as Lifestar Rescue, the WI State Patrol and WE Energies.
