February 12, 2026 – Fond du Lac Co., Wi – On February 11, 2026, members of the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and the Fond du Lac Police Department were working collaboratively to locate a fugitive with multiple felony warrants. This fugitive was also known to be armed and dangerous.

During the course of this operation, the fugitive was observed entering a vehicle within the City of Fond du Lac. Sheriff’s Office deputies attempted a traffic stop in the area of Interstate 41 and County Highway Y. The vehicle initially slowed but then fled at a high rate of speed.
A pursuit ensued, covering approximately 34 miles.
Deputies from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Washington County Sheriff’s Office assisted by deploying tire deflation devices. The suspect vehicle struck the devices on two separate occasions.
The pursuit ultimately came to an end when the suspect vehicle entered the gore area at Interstate 41 and Highway 60 in Washington County.
Law enforcement conducted a high-risk traffic stop, during which both occupants of the vehicle, including the fugitive passenger, were taken into custody without further incident. A firearm was located on the ground outside of the suspect vehicle following the arrests. A magazine and ammunition were also recovered from inside the vehicle.
The joint investigation between the City of Fond du Lac Police Department and Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office continued into the evening and resulted in the seizure of an additional firearm, nearly one-half pound of crack cocaine, and over four ounces of fentanyl.
The vehicle operator, who was on active supervision with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, was booked into the Fond du Lac County Jail on additional felony charges.
The fugitive passenger was also booked into the Fond du Lac County Jail on multiple felony charges, including three counts of felony bail jumping, as the individual was out on bond in three separate Milwaukee County cases.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was further assisted during this incident by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
No injuries were reported. Two vehicles sustained punctured tires as a result of the tire deflation devices.
Law enforcement remains committed to apprehending fugitives and disrupting the trafficking of dangerous narcotics within our communities. This investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information will be released at this time.

Great work! The more of these losers gotten off our roads and out of our communities the better. Guess they didn’t realize they couldn’t run from the police. I’m almost afraid to be on 41 due to all of the high speed chases I’ve heard about in past several years.
