November 14, 2025 – Town of Grafton, Wi – On Friday, November 14, 2025, at approximately 9:45 a.m. the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a structure collapse at a construction site located in the 300 block of N. Port Washington Road in the Town of Grafton.
The structure, a storage condominium unit approximately 60’x60’ in size, was under construction at the time of the incident.

Workers were in the process of securing wooden roof trusses when the north wall bowed and the roof partially collapsed. Three workers who were working on the roof fell approximately 16 feet. All three sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and one became trapped under the debris.
The Ozaukee Central Fire Department responded and cut through the trusses to free the trapped worker. All three injured workers were transported to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.
The Town of Grafton Residential and Commercial Building Inspectors, along with OSHA representatives, responded to inspect the construction site. The cause of the collapse is still being determined.
Assisting agencies included the Ozaukee Central Fire Department, Port Washington Fire Department, Cedarburg Fire Department, Southern Ozaukee Fire Department, Ozaukee County Drone Team, and Ozaukee County Emergency Management.
