VIDEO | 78th annual Allenton Parade steps off at 11:30 a.m.

August 17, 2025 – Allenton, WI – The Allenton American Legion Post 483 is gearing up for its 78th annual Allenton Parade. The event steps off at 11:30 a.m.  Veteran Ron Naab is the master of ceremonies. Buckle in because there will be six bands, horses, and a lot of Dad jokes.

The parade steps off at 11:30 from the Allenton American Legion Post 483 on Railroad Street, north to Main Street and then south on Church Street.
This is the most entertaining parade in southern Wisconsin. The parade will march from the Legion Post north on Railroad Street to Main Street [33} east to Church Street and south to the park.
here are 6 bands performing in the parade–1st Brigade Civil War Band, West Bend Community Band, Hartford City Band, Oshkosh VFW Band, Dual County Band and of course, THE SLINGER HIGH SCHOOL BAND.
Following the parade listen to the bands and eat- brats, shredded Chicken, 1/3-pound hamburgers and 1/3-pound cheeseburgers [same price]. Nachos & Cheese. ALSO ice cream treats from Honey Grove Ice Cream. Real ice cream made with honey.
The day ends with music by the Washington County Vets wutg Guitars.

One of the most notable things missing from this year’s parade was a train. Every year, according to organizers, the train passes through during the parade. This year… seamless.

The Dancing Grannies were a big hit in 2023. They’re back for 2025.
