July 10, 2025 – Town of Barton, Wi – On July 9, 2025 at 1:29 p.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center took a call from the homeowner at 3400 Beaver Dam Rd in the Town of Barton, who reported there was smoke in the attic of their house.
Washington County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and the West Bend Fire Department were subsequently dispatched to the scene.
Upon the arrival of Deputies and West Bend Fire smoke and a fire was coming from the bathroom area. The West Bend Fire Department quickly upgraded the call and was assisted by: Jackson Fire, Kewaskum Fire, St. Lawrence Fire, Newburg Fire and Allenton.
The occupants in the residence were able to exit the residence and did not suffer any injuries. The fire was contained in the bathroom and attic.
The residence sustained minor fire and smoke damage.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the West Bend Fire Department.
