December 28, 2025 – Washington Co., Wi – Mother Nature closing out 2025 by kicking open the back door of Wisconsin with a firm Northwest shoulder, rattling the windows and reminding Washington County and its neighbors who still runs the show. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory until 6 p.m. Monday and a Winter Weather Advisory, also until 6 p.m. Monday for West Bend, Germantown, Hartford, and neighboring communities.
This is no Hallmark movie ending to the year.
The National Weather Service said the wind will arrive first, blowing in tonight and staying through Monday evening, howling out of the northwest at 20 to 30 miles per hour, with gusts possibly 50 miles per hour or more.
Then comes the snow, sweeping across southern Wisconsin. Two to four inches are expected in Washington County and surrounding communities, but it is not the depth that will cause the trouble.

Snow and wind working together to push drifts across roads, cut visibility, and turn untreated pavement slick. Near-blizzard conditions are possible farther north, and the Monday morning commute may feel more like a test of patience than a routine drive.
Temperatures will tumble quickly below freezing this evening, freezing fog leftovers and making sidewalks and driveways deceptively slick.
Along Lake Michigan, the wind may flex even harder, gusting up to 55 miles per hour overnight.
Give yourself extra time in the morning.
