February 8, 2026 – West Bend, Wi – Michael A. Nummerdor passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on January 14, 2026.
Mike was born in Milwaukee to Donald and Marilyn (Lemke) Nummerdor. He moved to West Bend, Wi, with his family when his parents opened “Don’s Retreat,” a favorite local tavern on the corner of Main and Paradise in West Bend.
After serving in the Marine Corp, Mike worked as an elevator mechanic for many years.
Mike was preceded in death by his father Don, mother and stepfather, Marilyn and Dick Edwards, one brother John (Chris) and other relatives. Mike is survived by his remaining siblings Bob (Laura), Don (Linda Marek) and Sally (Chris) Cochran. Mike also leaves behind one daughter and several nieces and nephews.
One quick story to sum up “Mike” – Mom made him believe that beef pot pies were octopus, this is the only way he would eat them. –Mike always marched by the beat of a different drum.
I remember him being a shy guy. I went to high school with him. God bless his heart & soul 🙏🏼
I will miss him 😢, Mike used to come over and spend some time on the porch. He was a good friend to Jim and I.
