Allenton Picnic begins tonight and runs through the weekend | By Ron Naab

Allenton, WIAllenton American Legion Picnic starts Friday night with a fish fry featuring a recipe from Jug’s Hitching Post along with many great items.

At 6 p.m. in the pavilion the Legion has created a special tradition with,” the cutting of the cake” to open the weekend of the picnic sponsored by the Allen American Legion.
The tradition is to demonstrate the Legion Posts commitment to working together to make Allenton a safer, educational and kid-friendly community.
One of the post’s senior members, Bob Wiedmeyer, along with one of the junior  members, Darren Hughes, will be cutting the cake using an official Army Ceremony Military Saber.

hamburgers and more.
