January 1, 2026 – West Bend, Wi – Auto Safety Center’s managing partner Mike Hilzley is announcing the hiring of longtime West Bend service writer George Lewitzke, a familiar and trusted face in the local auto repair world, who will now manage the company’s Cedarburg location.
Hilzley said Lewitzke brings experience, a trusted reputation and strong relationship-building skills.
“One of the more trusted faces in the repair business in West Bend is joining Auto Safety Center to actually manage our Cedarburg location,” Hilzley said. “He brings 11-plus years of experience and will lead our team in Cedarburg to new places, not only with his experience in the auto industry, but his customer relations.”
Hilzley and Lewitzke have known each other for more than a decade, and Hilzley said that relationship made the transition a natural fit.
“One of the things I’ve always admired about George is the way he builds relationships and trust with customers,” Hilzley said. “I’m excited for the people of Cedarburg to learn that about George and find a face they can trust.”
Hilzley added Lewitzke’s longtime customers in West Bend are still welcome to see him at the Cedarburg shop.
“Our Cedarburg store is only a little over 20 minutes away from West Bend,” Hilzley said. “So if people want to come see him down there, it’s not that long of a drive. I know he’s had some people already reach out to him.”
Lewitzke, who is from West Bend, said he is looking forward to the next chapter and serving a new community.
“I’m very excited about what’s next, to serve Cedarburg and give them exceptional customer service as well as results with vehicle repairs they can trust,” Lewitzke said. “We want to be that one-stop shop.”
Hilzley said the Cedarburg location is fully equipped to meet customer needs, including fast turnaround times and added conveniences.
“Making sure we can get the cars in and out; where people can count on same or next-day service and getting their car back,” Hilzley said. “The Cedarburg location has eight loaner cars that are free of charge for customers to use as well.”
One of the added bonuses is the Cedarburg shop offers emissions testing, which Lewitzke is certified to perform, and provides the same services available at the West Bend locations.
“We can handle everything in Cedarburg that we can handle in the West Bend stores,” Hilzley said. “The only thing we really don’t do is warranty recalls and body work.”
Hilzley said the addition of Lewitzke has been a long time coming.
“It’s a very exciting thing for George. We’ve been talking for a long time to get this to happen,” he said. “I’m grateful he made the decision to come here, and I’m excited for him and his family to take this next step.”
The announcement also comes as Auto Safety Center continues to expand. With a fourth location opening in Menomonee Falls, Hilzley said growth is creating new opportunities across the company.
“With the way Auto Safety Center is growing, we have four locations coming in March 2026,” Hilzley said. “As we grow, it allows opportunities for all of our team members to continue to grow and take on new responsibilities and new jobs.”

Hilzley said growth will go beyond shop-level positions.
“As we grow, there’s not just the store-level jobs that are available,” he said. “We’ll get to a point where we need somebody that’s outside sales, somebody that’s going to handle our fleet accounts, somebody that’s the smiling face that goes to Chamber stuff and Kiwanis stuff, as well as area managers. Somebody that’s going to take my job, because I’m only going to be able to oversee so many businesses.”
Hilzley said the company’s expansion is ultimately about creating pathways for people.
