1 woman dead and Hartford couple injured in 2-vehicle crash | By Dodge Co. Sheriff

September 8, 2025 – Dodge Co., Wi – On Friday, August 29, 2025, at approximately 12:08 p.m., the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 16/60 at O’Sixteen Road, in the township of Lowell, Dodge County.

Initial investigation shows a 2006 Buick Lacrosse, operated by 84-year-old Judith Scott-Steinberg from Reeseville, failed to yield right-of-way and was struck by a 2015 Honda Pilot pulling a boat on a trailer.


The Honda was operated by 73-year-old Robert Neufuss from Hartford and his 74-year-old wife, Judith Neufuss, was a passenger in the Honda.

Judith Scott-Steinberg was transported by ambulance to Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam and then to UW Hospital, where she died as a result of her injuries on 09-05-2025.

Robert Neufuss was transported to Marshfield Medical Center with minor injuries and Judith Neufuss was transported to Marshfield Medical Center with serious injuries.

Assisting at the scene with the Clyman/Lowell/Reeseville Fire Departments and First Responders, Watertown EMS, Beaver Dam EMS.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
