High winds to blame for power outages across Washington County, Wi

March 13, 2026 – Washington Co., Wi – Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School is releasing students early this Friday because of a power outage. According to We Energies there are over 5500 outages as of 1:45 p.m. Neighboring Waukesha County got slammed with over 22,000 outages. Same as the Milwaukee area.

The National Weather Service has issued a high-wind warning until 4 p.m.  Winds were predicted to gust between 25 mph to 35 mph with some as high as 60 mph.

After the high winds the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory that extends through the weekend with snow, possibly 1 to 3 inches, followed by rain and thunderstorms Sunday into Monday.

  • Hartford – 326
  • Slinger – 223
  • Richfield – 821
  • Kewasku – 507
  • Jackson – 747
  • Germantown – 251
