Ice Lynx head to WAHA U10B State Tournament | By Caitlin Larson

March 6, 2026West Bend, Wi – The Ice Lynx play this weekend, March 7-8, 2026, in New Richmond, WI, at the  WAHA Girls U10B State Tournament. Only two of the girls teams made it to state this year, the other was the combined Washington County/Ozaukee County Bantam A team, who played two weeks ago and took third place.

We have a very small team of 11 which requires an incredible amount of stamina and hard work to stay on top. They spend each week in the weight room, shooting room, watching game footage and on the ice practicing.

The girls have taken lots of inspiration from the professional women’s hockey league (PWHL) and Women’s Olympic team, with many of the girls having met some of those Olympians, like Laila Edward’s, via Badger Women’s Hockey Games.

We want to extend an invitation to little girls in Washington County, WI, who might want to give hockey a try.

Try Hockey For Free takes place at the end of March right here in West Bend. We offer a special session for girls only on March 25, from 6:15 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.

Our Squirt, PeeWee and Bantam girls will be on hand to welcome in these potential new Ice Lynx players and will take the ice with them to show them the ropes.

More details and registration can be found HERE.

We would also love for the public to follow our girls program on social media at WCYHA Ice Lynx Hockey. We post positive stories about the extraordinary growth girls hockey has seen as well as the amazing young ladies who are players, refs, coaches and more.
