Dreher has been working since the Olympics in February to draw some local attention to the 21-year-old Stolz, who he classifies as “The good-news story we’ve been waiting for.”
Earlier this week Dreher unveiled a sign for the Town of Wayne that will recognize Stolz and his hometown. During the Olympics Dreher created a giant skate and posted it on Fond du Lac Avenue to cheer on the local skater as he competed in Milan, Italy.
Dreher said he plans to donate the street sign to the Stolz family.
Stolz will throw out the first pitch along side Packers quarterback Jordan Love before the start of the Brewers vs. White Sox game on Thursday.
According to the Brewers “the two first pitches will take place at 1 p.m.”

March 24, 2026 – Town of Wayne, Wi – Leaders in the Town of Wayne are working to recognize their hometown champion as members of the Town Board met to discuss putting up a sign in honor of Olympic medalist Jordan Stolz.
Town chairperson Tony Balistreri met with Chucker Dreher and Keith Ellenbecker, the superintendent of Public Works, to review the design and discuss the location for the sign that shows hometown pride.
“Jordan and his family live in the Town of Wayne,” said Balistreri. “We will put it on the April agenda and get it done.”
Stolz won three medals at the 2026 Winter Olympics including 2 gold and a silver in speedskating.
Dreher is working with Randy Gremminger at Trend Setters Sign Shop on Fond du Lac Avenue. The location of the 2-sided sign will be at the intersection of CTH H and W in downtown Wayne.
Dreher and Gremminger are tweaking the design. Wording is in place with Town of Wayne in a banner format and then ‘Home of 3 time Olympic Medalist Jordan Stolz.’
Dreher said they are working to make the number 3 interchangable as they expect Stolz will be competing in at least one or two more Olympics.
“And then we can put some eyehooks along the base of the sign, in case Jordan wants to show off any of his other medals.”
Dreher clarified, he was “somewhat kidding” about that last part. “Or we can make fake medals and put them on there. The kid has a ton of medals.”
Balistreri indicated the sign would not be at taxpayer expense.
“We’re taking care of all that,” said Dreher. “We have local businesses stepping up and once we know more about the total cost we can open it up to the community if they want to chip in.”
Dreher said he has chatted about the sign with Jordan’s parents. “Anything to recognize our hometown hero,” said Dreher.
On a side note:
-Stolz will be making a public appearance later this week when he throws out the first pitch at the Brewers home opener vs. the White Sox on Thursday, March 26, 2026. Game time is 1:10 p.m.
-If you recognize Chucker Dreher, he was the one who manufactured the giant white skate on the side of Coffee Corner Bistro in Kewaskum. Throughout the Olympics people have signed their name and well wishes to local gold medalist Jordan Stolz.
