March 7, 2026 – Heerenveen, NL – The World Allrounds are underway and Jordan Stolz has a full plate of four races over the next two days. The challenge, longer races of 5,000m and 10,000m combined with a pair of sprints including a 500m and 1500m. “We’ll have to see how it goes,” said Stolz. “I’ve been feeling pretty good in my longer laps so we’ll only be able to tell tomorrow.”

UPDATE: Stolz took first place in the 500m with a time of 34.22. Because the Allrounds are based on points, Stolz now has an 18 point lead headed into the 5000m. He needs that gap, because these are distance skaters in the Allrounds and Stolz faces big challenges the next two days.

Questioned why he’s putting himself through this at the end of the season, “Why not,” Stolz said. “I have the opportunity and the potential to try and do both so I may as well.”
The pairings for Saturday in the 500m, feature Stolz skating 10th vs. Riku Tsuchiya of Japan. In the 5000m Stolz skates in the fourth pairing vs. Gabriel Odor of Austria.
In order to have a chance at the title, Stolz must skate extrememly well in the 500m in order to gain a lead in the points.
The track record in the 5000m belongs to Patrick Roest with a time of 6:04.36. Stolz personal best is 6:14.76.
Skaters in the 5000m to keep an eye on include Casey Dawson of the USA who has clocked a 6:01.84, Timothy Loubineaud of France who has a 6:00.23 under his belt and Peder Kongshaug of Norway is always a tough contender.
