September 27, 2025- West Bend, WI- The West Bend JV2 volleyball team had an outstanding win against Sheboygan South Red Wings.
The Spartans played strong against the Sheboygan Redwings on Tuesday night in front of a deafening crowd. The first match, the Spartans took a wonderful lead and soon won the set 25-5.
In the second match, the opposing team wasn’t too far behind from taking the set, but the Spartans successfully pulled through and won 25-14. The third set, the Spartans started and finished strong, taking the set to 25-8. Everyone played amazingly with 100% effort and determination.
Lexi Yang is a freshman at West Bend West High School and plays a defensive specialist position. “The team did really well on communication and not letting the ball drop. Something we need to work on is setting the pin for the block,” she said.
Kyleigh Struck is a freshman at West Bend West High School and plays a defensive specialist position. “The team played super well. We were amazing with our energy on the court and on the bench. We definitely still need to work on covering our hitters and when people go up to block.”
