August 1, 2025 – Sheboygan Co., WI – On Friday, August 1, 2025, at approximately 3:47 p.m., the Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call advising of a 2-vehicle crash on State Highway 23 at Pleasant View Road, located in the Town of Plymouth.

Preliminary investigation indicates a vehicle was traveling east on State Highway 23, which was occupied and operated by a 45-year-old male from Sheboygan. The operator and occupant of the westbound vehicle, 82-year-old female and 80-year-old male from Sheboygan, were attempting to turn to travel south on Pleasant View Road from State Highway 23.
The operator of the eastbound vehicle suffered minor injuries and was transported by Orange Cross Ambulance. The westbound vehicle’s driver suffered non-life threatening, but serious injuries, and the passenger suffered life-threatening injuries from the crash.
They were both transported from the scene by Orange Cross Ambulance. The 80-year-old passenger later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
It was determined the contributing factor was the westbound vehicle failed to yield to oncoming traffic while negotiating its turn. The investigation is still ongoing.
