Medical emergency a factor in 2-vehicle crash at Hwy 33 and Hwy 45 off ramp | By Lt. Brian McAndrews

January 14, 2026West Bend, Wi – On January 13, 2026, at approximately 10:24 a.m., West Bend Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Washington Street and U.S. Highway 45.

A 68-year-old Hartford man was operating a Nissan Rogue northbound on U.S. Highway 45 and exited the ramp at Washington Street.

The driver experienced a serious medical emergency and was unable to stop at the bottom of the ramp, entering the intersection against a red traffic signal. His vehicle was then struck by a BMW operated by a 54-year-old West Bend man.

The Hartford man was transported to a medical facility and remains hospitalized due to the medical emergency.
