Missing Sheboygan man, 63, found deceased | By Sheboygan Co. Sheriff

December 4, 2025 – Sheboygan Co., Wi – The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office regretfully confirms Mr. Janssen has been found deceased.

 

Mr. Janssen was located at approximately 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025. We extend our deepest condolences to Mr. Janssen’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

The Sheriff’s Office thanks the community, volunteers, and media partners for their assistance in the search efforts.

The WI DNR was instrumental in locating Mr. Janssen. While the cause and manner of death are currently under investigation, there is no indication of suspicious circumstances. There is no threat or concern for public safety. We appreciate the public’s interest in this investigation, but ask that you respect the family’s need for privacy.

We will not be releasing additional information regarding this incident.

The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office and Sheboygan Police Department have worked cooperatively in attempting to locate missing person Todd Janssen.

At the time of this release, Mr. Janssen has not been located.On Saturday, November 29, 2025, the Sheboygan Police Department received a report that Mr. Janssen was missing from his residence in the City of Sheboygan. Through their investigation, credible information was received that Mr. Janssen was last seen on Broadway Road south of State Highway 28.

After being made aware of Mr. Janssen’s disappearance and last known location, deputies searched the area of Broadway Road. They searched specific residences, buildings, and outbuildings. These areas were searched both during and after the snowstorm. Search efforts continued on Sunday, November 30, using additional resources, including a drone, but were unsuccessful. This area had received considerable snowfall on Saturday and into Sunday.

Both the Sheriff’s Office and the Sheboygan Police Department have received tips and witness statements. All of which have been investigated and acted upon appropriately.

After receiving further information, on Monday, December 1, the Sheriff’s Office organized a large-scale search operation to commence on Tuesday, December 2, utilizing Search and Rescue K9s. On Tuesday, December 2, the Wisconsin K9 SOS Search and Rescue Team, along with the Town of Wilson Fire Department, Town of Sheboygan Falls Fire Department, Kohler Fire Department, and Sheboygan Police Department, searched an extensive area attempting to locate Mr. Janssen without success.

The Sheriff’s Office continues to receive tips and is acting on them accordingly.

We want to thank the public for their assistance in providing the information we have received.

We thank the area property owners for allowing search operations to commence on their properties. We want to remind the public that this area is private property and should be respected as such.
