May 28, 2025 – West Bend, Wi – Lloyd V. Derge, 92, of West Bend died peacefully on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at The Fields, surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 4, 1932, in the Town of Herman to Rudolph and Myrtle (nee Cole) Derge.

On April 29, 1953, he was united in marriage to Evelyn M. Mueller in the Town of Herman. She preceded him in death on July 31, 2002.
Lloyd proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Following his discharge, he was employed at Weasler Engineering for over 40 years.
Lloyd and his good friend Ronnie Stange started a business designing and installing ornamental railings. That business still continues today as Dean Derge Ornamental Ironwork.
He was a longtime and dedicated member of American Legion Post 486.
He was an adventurous man who enjoyed flights in a hot-air balloon and a blimp. He also got a birds-eye view of the land during a glider ride.
Lloyd enjoyed tractor pulling events and helping his cousin Lloyd Luedtke “Luedtke’s Eliminator”
Lloyd enjoyed to travel, one of his most memorable trips was when he went on the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight on September 12, 2015 with his son, Dean.
Lloyd is survived by his 6 children: Bonnie (Gary) Garbisch of Kaukauna, Donna (Paul) Derge-Hoag of Jackson, Dennis (Margie Heintz) Derge of Las Vegas, Dean Derge of Kewaskum, Sharon (Ralph) Kreis of Jackson and Jeff (Lauren Brunner) Derge of Delafield and 8 grandchildren: Jeremy (Brittney) Garbisch, Carrie (Jay) Hietpas, Stacy (Lena) Zinuticz, Amber (Troy Wilson) Hoag, Luke (Ashley) Kreis, Samantha Kreis, Haley (Baxter Black) Derge and Macaulay (Melissa) Derge.
He is further survived by 12 great-grandchildren: Jaxson, Mason and Savannah Garbisch, Taylor, Kaitlyn and Logan Hietpas, Lauren, Bennett and Kali Zinuticz, Sawyer Wilson and Laken and Sayla Kreis, Baby Girl Derge due in November, a sister-in-law Dolores Derge and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Myrtle Derge, his wife Evelyn Derge, his sisters Evelyn Derge and Virginia (Everett) Schwandt and his brothers Willard Derge and Marvin (Joyce) Derge.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 30, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend with Rev. Paul Mittermaier officiating.
Burial, with military honors will be at 3 p.m. in Christ Lutheran Cemetery. The family will greet visitors on Friday, at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.
