REAL ESTATE | Parish Surveying & Engineering to move into 508 N. Main Street in West Bend, WI

West Bend, WI — Initially planned for demolition, a property on N. Main Street in West Bend, Wi, with a long list of past lives — Jack’s Lanes bowling alley, Staehlers Laundromat, St. Vincent de Paul, and most recently Habitat ReStore — will now soon become the new home of PSE, Parish Surveying and Engineering.

American

Real estate records show the building at 508 N. Main Street changed hands twice in 2025.

On May 21, 2025, The District WB, LLC sold the 5,790-square-foot property to The District WB HoldCo, LLC for $263,000.

Then on August 13, 2025, PSE Investments, LLC, registered to Kevin Parish of the Town of Kewaskum, purchased the site for $477,500.

Parish, owner of Parish Surveying and Engineering, confirmed he plans to relocate his growing firm into the building.

“I like the look of it, and I wanted to keep the historic building there,” said Parish. “I didn’t really want to tear it down; it seems like an extension of the downtown.”

West Bend Brewery

Over the years West Bend has seen its fair share of recognizable buildings razed including the former West Bend Brewery, West Bend Transit on Forest Avenue, the old West Bend High School, and even the grandstand at Carl Kuss Field.

Members of the community have bemoaned the loss of local history. Parish’s commitment is a welcome change.

American Construction Services has already begun structural improvements, including brick restoration, tuck-pointing, and the interior will still retain some of the remnants of the old bowling alley.

“Those classic floors are awesome,” Parish said. “I’m sanding them and yes, I’m keeping the little diamond-point bowling markers.”

Parish Surveying and Engineering  is currently located at 122 Wisconsin Street, where Parish moved the company in 2018 into a newly constructed building just north of the former Dublin’s Restaurant, now Gary’s Place.

At the N. Main Street location, a portion of the first floor will be prepared as lease space, anticipated to be ready by spring 2026.

Parish expected his move to occur later in 2026, depending on the pace of renovations.

A Site Rich in Community Memory

Jack’s Lanes, owned by Jack Wahouske, operated there mid-century.

Staehlers Laundromat ran in the 1960s.

By 1973, the building housed St. Vincent de Paul, while EconoWash occupied the adjacent space.

The property sits across from the former West Bend Brewery, now converted to apartments.

Parish said he is motivated not just by business needs but by the importance of keeping West Bend’s architectural heritage intact.
