Significant storm damage in Dodge Co. | By Dodge Co. Sheriff

May 16, 2025 – Dodge Co., WI – At about 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2025, the Dodge County Area had significant storm cells that moved through the Dodge County area.

As a result, significant damage has occurred, which primarily occurred in the Juneau and Mayville areas.

Currently, residents in those affected areas are encouraged to shelter in place while emergency crews work to clean up damage and restore power.

Many streets and highways are closed due to power lines and trees being down.  We are asking that all non–residents avoid the cities of Juneau and Mayville to allow emergency responders to assist those affected.

DO NOT drive around barricades or emergency vehicles unless directed to do so, as the streets and highways are closed for your safety.

City of Juneau residents who have been displaced from their homes are encouraged to report to Dodgeland Schools 401, S. Western Ave, Juneau, WI.  

City of Mayville residents who have been displaced from their homes are encouraged to report to the Tag Center, 1700 Breckenridge St, Mayville.

United Way

Red Cross and Dodge County Health and Human Services/Public Health are on scene to assist.

At this point, only minor injuries have been reported to emergency personnel.

We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to meet the public’s needs.

May 15, 2025 – Mayville, WI – Emergency crews from Hartford and Allenton have been paged to Mayville, WI following reports of damage from a tornado. A shelter in place and state of emergency have been declared in Juneau after damage has been reported including trees down and people trapped.

A strong line of storms passed through Dodge County around 7 p.m. after the National Weather Service issued a tornado watch.

Mayville mayor Rob Boelk issued a statement, “Tonight we did have a Tornado/high winds go through the south end of our City. I declared a state of emergency at 6:29PM. I am asking all residents to stay home as we have live power lines and potential gas leaks in the area. We are reviewing the damage and have all hands on deck as we are trying to open up the roads for emergency vehicles.”

Be safe and stay home to avoid a safety issue.
