March 17, 2026 – Fond du Lac Co., Wi – On Tuesday, March 17, 2026, the Fond du Lac County Communications Center received a report from a neighbor of a building fully engulfed in flames at N4590 Towne Road in the Township of Waupun.

Upon arrival, Sheriff’s deputies made contact with the property owner, who had safely exited the main residence. The owner confirmed that all individuals were accounted for, away from the fire, and that no injuries were reported.
The owner further advised that the burning structure was a shed used as a workshop and did not contain any items of significant value.
The structure was described as a 20-foot by 30-foot metal shed with an estimated value of $23,000. The building is considered a total loss. The fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical issue and is not considered suspicious.
The following fire departments responded to the incident: Waupun, Oakfield, Lamartine, Alto, Brandon-Fairwater, Rosendale, Brownsville, Burnett, Kekoskee, and RIT Team 4. Lifestar Ambulance Service also responded to the scene. The Fond du Lac County Highway Department and the Waupun Township assisted with the incident.
