The girls fought throughout their 6-week season, competing against a total of 22 teams in the Midwest High School Ski Conference (MHSSC).

Each week, the girls were motivated by their momentum that started at their first race of the season where they competed against three other teams, one which included the reigning state champion.

The girls made a statement, taking their first victory of the season over by almost six seconds overall.

Week after week the combined Slinger/Hartford High School team found themselves continuing their winning streak, going undefeated the entire season. This incredible feat secured the girls the overall conference championship title.

This weekend, the team is headed to state at Mt. Lacrosse, Wisconsin, and are incredibly excited to see what it brings, hoping for success.

The boys varsity team will also be competing, as they finished 7th in the conference. Both teams will compete on Sunday, February 15 and Monday, February 16.

Not only did the team find success, but so did Grace Kondrakiewicz, a first-seed varsity.
Within the MHSSC, roughly 126 girls compete in total, each varsity team having six spots.
All around, Kondrakiewicz found victory at 5 of her 6 regular season races, scoring 17 of the possible 18 points.
Her teammate Daley Rabideaux beat her by just +0.08 seconds at their first race of the season.
This incredible season secured Kondrakiewicz the individual overall conference champion title, and she was named 1st Team All-Conference.
