September is recognized nationally as Suicide Prevention Month.

With youth mental health a growing concern across the country, Slinger students demonstrated leadership and compassion by creating a meaningful opportunity for their peers to listen, learn, and connect.

“We are incredibly proud of our student organizers,” said Principal Phil Ourada. “They not only showed initiative in planning this event, but they also created a space for open conversation, empathy, and support for one another.”

The event highlighted the importance of recognizing signs of distress, reaching out for help, and knowing that resources are available.

Students also shared stories and strategies for building resilience and supporting friends in need.
