West Bend, WI – The West Bend West JV2 Spartans volleyball team had an amazing rally against the Cedarburg Bulldogs putting up a fight all the way till the end. In the first match against Cedarburg the Spartans team had great energy and was playing great.

Lydia Mundinger had some great hits with Macey Fujinaka setting, together they worked to score West some points. The Spartans ended the first set with a win, 25 – 16.
In the second set the Spartan’s energy was a roller coaster ride, but the team was still determined to win. Everybody played great, fighting hard till the end even with the loss 20 – 25.
The third set included some dime passes from the backrow and incredible kills from front-row players. The Spartans went from 19-13 and made an incredible comeback making it all the way to 22-20.

The Spartans fought to the finish but ended in a loss 22 – 25. Cece Pahl said, “It was a great game, and we pushed to the end even when we weren’t doing well.”
Amerika Villegas said, “Although there were roller coasters of points going on and off the team fought to keep the energy up and smiles big.”
The JV2 Spartans are currently 3 – 1 in the Glacier Trails Conference. Their next match is Tuesday, October 7 against hallway rivals West Bend East with a 5:30 p.m. game time.
