United Way of Washington Co. new New Board Leadership for 2025-26

April 24, 2025 – Washington Co., WI — United Way of Washington County is delighted to share tis Board of Directors for fiscal year 2025-26, including several newly appointed board members and new board leadership,

including incoming Board President, Jim Schwalen, Senior Vice President of Personal Lines & Marketing at West Bend Insurance Company.

United Way

As the organization enters a new fiscal year, the board’s focus will include strengthening its fundraising strategies, continuing to advance the local mental health initiative, and identifying emerging needs in Washington County to ensure donor dollars make the greatest possible impact.

“This year is an opportunity for listening and learning,” said Schwalen. “We’re navigating a challenging landscape for nonprofit funding, and we’re focused on identifying the areas where United Way can make the greatest local impact, while also rallying the community to support the annual campaign.”

United Way’s volunteer board plays a vital role in providing strategic leadership and oversight to ensure the organization effectively fulfills its mission and serves the community.

“We are incredibly grateful for the dedicated leaders who serve on our board,” said Kristin Brandner, CEO of United Way of Washington County. “Their vision, insight and commitment are critical to helping us respond to challenges, identify opportunities, and strengthen the health and well-being of our community. With this board’s leadership, I’m confident we’ll continue to move forward with focus and purpose.”
