June 25, 2025 – Dodge Co., WI – The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office executed a residential search warrant in the 600 Block of N. University Avenue in the city of Beaver Dam. This search warrant stemmed from numerous investigations into vehicle break-ins that occurred in the town of Beaver Dam during the early morning hours of June 22, 2025. One of these break-ins resulted in the theft of a handgun.

Members of the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division collaborated with members of the Beaver Dam Police Department, and probable cause was established to execute a search warrant. The search resulted in the recovery of the stolen handgun, along with other stolen property.
As a result of this search warrant, a handgun was located as well as other suspected stolen property.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has referred juvenile charges on two Beaver Dam juveniles:
- A 13-year-old juvenile has been charged as a juvenile for Possession of a Dangerous Weapon by a Person Under 18.
- A 16-year-old juvenile has been charged as a juvenile for Possession of a Dangerous Weapon by a Person Under 18, Possession of THC, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Adult charges have also been referred to the Dodge County District Attorney’s Office on a 17-year-old male from Sparta, Wisconsin, for Misdemeanor Bail Jumping and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon by a Person Under 18.
This investigation remains ongoing. As in all cases, all persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office would also like to remind our citizens to remove valuables from their vehicles and keep them locked at all times while they’re not in use.
