West Bend, WI – Members of the Fred A. Schaefer VFW Post 1393 in West Bend, Wi, teamed up with the American Legion Riders to host a National Guard Family Picnic at Regner Park. The event included food, music, games for the kids, and a Black Hawk helicopter.
It’s hard to land a Black Hawk helicopter at Regner Park and not have people notice.
Over 400 people attended the event.
“This is our way of showing our Military Armed Forces how appreciative we are for what they do for our country,” said Mike Henner, Senior Vice Commander of VFW Post 1393.
