During the course of the investigation, police received information that a loaded firearm had been discarded in the area of Braatz Drive and Gavin Parkway. Given the close proximity to a residential neighborhood with many children, recovering the firearm became an immediate priority.

With the assistance of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit, officers conducted a thorough search and safely located the firearm hidden in a bush near the dead end of Gavin Parkway.

The investigation also revealed the suspects are believed to be involved in similar incidents in other jurisdictions, primarily in Sheboygan County. The Kewaskum Police Department is actively working with partner agencies in those areas to advance the investigation.

“I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the Washington County, Wisconsin Sheriff’s Office K9 team for their rapid response and support,” said Chief Tom Bishop.

“I would further like to sincerely thank the community members who submitted videos and other information. Your vigilance and willingness to share what you saw has been instrumental in helping us make progress in this case.”

This remains an active investigation. No further information will be released at this time.
