West Bend West JV1 sweeps Hartford | By Peyton Pauers

October 12, 2025 – Hartford WI – The West Bend West JV1 volleyball team had a clean sweep against the Hartford Orioles.

The Spartans had a good lead from the start and ended up winning the first set with a score of 25 – 17.
In the second set WBW started running lots of plays and ended with a score of 25 – 21.
During the third set the Orioles started with a lead but the Spartans managed to come back by having good coverage ending with a score of 25 – 22.
Samantha Kelly led the team with 7 kills, Eloise Hughes had 22 assists, Maci Spaeth had 11 digs and 4 ace serves and Norah Johnson added 2 blocks.
The Spartans are 5 – 0 in the Glacier Trails Conference.  The next match is Tuesday, October 14 at Kettle Moraine Lutheran starting time 5:30 p.m.
About the author: Peyton Pauers is a sophomore at West Bend West High School. Pauers plays middle on the JV 1 volleyball team. “One thing we could work on is our coverage on tips and blocks and making sure we get up on over passes,” she said.
