New 4-way stop at Silverbrook and Chestnut in West Bend

February 10, 2020 – West Bend, WI –  A new 4-way stop has been installed at the intersection of Chestnut Street and S. Silverbrook Drive in West Bend.

The new traffic-control measure was approved by the Traffic Safety Commission on January 13, 2020 after Police Chief Kenneth Meuler made a motion to install a 4-way stop at the intersection of Chestnut Street and S. Silverbrook Drive.

TADI also suggested to:
 Remove the pedestrian crossing signs from the Chestnut Street approaches.
 Install stop signs, stop lines, and crosswalks on all four intersection approaches, resulting in an all-way stop control.
 Install ALL-WAY signs below the stop signs on all approaches.
 Temporary installation of lighted stop signs to draw motorist attention to the change in traffic control.

  1. Pretty soon we’ll be just like washburn, a 4 way stop at every intersection in town. I guess stop signs are cheaper than fixing the streets.
