Nov. 23, 2016 – Hartford, WI – The Jack Russell Memorial Library in Hartford has received a brand new, high performance ScanPro® 2200 Plus microfilm scanner.
The machine was donated by the manufacturer and Hartford native, Jim Westoby, president of e-ImageData.
“We’re delighted to be able to help our community this way,” Westoby said.
Library director, Jennifer Einwalter, was thrilled with the generous donation.
“We currently have two microfilm scanners that were difficult for patrons to use,” Einwalter said. “A more intuitive microfilm scanner was something we knew our patrons would love to have, but we weren’t sure how we would be able to afford it. The ScanPro 2200 Plus will be a huge improvement for us.”
Those who visit the library will now be able to access the entire Jack Russell Memorial Library microfilm collection with this one machine. In addition, they will have access to more functionality while manipulating the film than they had previously with the other two machines.
The ScanPro unit is located on the second floor of the library outside of the history room.
