July 15, 2026 – Slinger, WI – The Slinger School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Alex Lavine as the new Athletic and Activities Director.
A familiar face to many in the Slinger community, Alex currently serves as a teacher and coach at Slinger High School. Throughout his time in the district, he has made a tremendous impact on students through his dedication, leadership, and commitment to providing meaningful educational and extracurricular experiences.
In his new role, Alex will oversee the district’s athletic programs and co-curricular activities, working closely with students, staff, families, and community members to continue building a culture of excellence, engagement, and Owl pride.
“Alex has consistently demonstrated a passion for supporting students both inside and outside the classroom,” said Superintendent Kristi Brooks. “His ability to build strong relationships, foster teamwork, and lead with integrity makes him an outstanding choice for this position. We are excited to see the positive impact he will continue to make in this new role.”
Lavine takes over for Brian Heimark, who retired after 30+ years in education.
