July 31 2026 – Elkhart Lake, Wi – On Thursday July 30, 2026 at 4:21 p.m. the Elkhart Lake Police Department along with Elkhart Lake Fire and EMS, Glenbeulah Fire and EMS and Orange Cross Ambulance were dispatched to an address on Little Elkhart Lake Road in the Town of Rhine for an ATV crash involving a 13-year-old girl.
The first arriving Elkhart Lake police officer requested the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office and Flight for Life Thedastar helicopter based on the injuries. The 13-year-old female was flown from the scene to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee for treatment.
The initial investigation shows the ATV rolled over throwing the girl from it, potentially rolling over her. No helmet was worn during the crash and speed does not appear to be a factor.
