Bicyclist, 72, injured after being struck by vehicle | By Dodge Co. Sheriff

September 8, 2026 – Dodge Co., Wi – On Monday, September 7, 2026 at approximately 7:10 p.m. the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to an injury crash of a bicycle vs. motor vehicle on county road I in the town of Portland.

The initial investigation showed that a 2023 Audi operated by a 46-year-old female from Waterloo Wisconsin was traveling south on county road I when it struck a southbound bicycle which was being ridden by a 72-year-old male from Waterloo Wisconsin.

 

The bicyclist was injured as a result of the crash and was transported by Waterloo EMS to UW Hospital in Madison.

The bicyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The operator of the 2023 Audi was not injured in the crash.

Assisting at the crash scene was the Waterloo Police Department and Waterloo EMS. The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team.
