September 9, 2026 – Village of Kewaskum, Wi – A notice of claim has been filed against the Village of Kewaskum along with former Village president Michael ‘Fuzz’ Martin and former Village administrator Adam Gitter. The claim seeks compensation for more than $4 million. The 8-page claim was filed by the attorney representing Kewaskum Police Officer Jeremy Haske. The claim is tied to accusations by the former Village president and Village administrator related to an anonymous tip they received Feb. 1, 2026.

Interim Village President Mary Schlitt said the claim will be turned over to the Village’s insurance, however Martin and Gitter will have to retain their own legal counsel.
