Over the last 50 years the Allenton Area Advancement Association (AAAA) has provide funds to promote a good life in the Allenton area.

The organization was founded by business leaders Don Jonas, Rosie Gass, and Harold Hefter.

The first project the AAAA tackled was decorating Allenton with Christmas lights to create a more festive holiday season.

In 1978, during an impromptu meeting at a local tavern a half of a buffalo was purchased the Allenton Area Advancement Association set to work on a buffet style fund raiser. Thus was born the AAAA’s first “Allenton Buffalo Feed.”

Held in 1979 it proved to be a successful fund raiser with the money given to the Hartford Hospital Foundation for the Allenton Clinic.

Throughout the course of 38 years the annual Allenton Buffalo Feed has helped many venues, including the Slinger High School Band Programs, the Slinger Honors, Inc (scholarship fund) and assisted in developing parks in the greater Allenton Area.
