Washington County, WI – On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, West Bend American Legion Post 36 along with Wreaths Across America is calling for the nation to join them in flag-waving to remind all Americans of our pride in our country and the unity and patriotism which was expressed on the days following 9/11/01.

“Now, more than ever, it is so critical for communities to come together to remember all those who served and honor their service and their family’s service especially those who volunteered during the War on Terror following the events of September 11, 2001,” said Wreaths Across America Executive Director Karen Worchester.
National Wreaths Across America Day will be held on Saturday, December 16 where sponsored wreaths are placed at the grave sites of veterans.
American Legion Post 36 of West Bend will also have a wreath-laying ceremony on Monday, September 11 at 9:00 AM in observance of Patriot Day at the Veterans Plaza, 320 S 5th Avenue.
