Washington Co., WI – Bettman & Halpin, known for their high-energy upbeat bluegrass/roots inspired compositions, will perform in concert at UW-Washington County on Friday, March 30 at 7:30 p.m.
Stephanie Bettman who’s soaring soprano voice has been compared to Emmylou Harris and Joan Baez, is an accomplished writer, singer and fiddler. A former actress, her lyrics are infused with wit and wisdom, poetry and insight.
Luke Halpin is adept at nearly any musical instrument he picks up. A master of the guitar and mandolin, he is also a dynamic vocalist.
Halpin has shared the stage with many famous musicians, including Merle Haggart and the Steve Miller Band, and his quirky sense of humor is the perfect match to Stephanie’s dry witty presence.
Performing together for over 10 years, Bettman & Halpin are known for their amazing fiddle playing along with super tight harmonies, simple melodies and lyrics you can relate to. With strong voices that blend beautifully, this is a concert that you won’t want to miss.
