July 18, 2025 – West Bend, Wi – Betty Jane Weis (nee McKee), 92, died peacefully at the Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg on July 14, 2025. She was born on December 28, 1932, in Lake City, PA to John and Lavinia McKee.
Betty was in the U.S. Marine Corps and there she met and later married her love, the late Wallie A. Weis on May 14, 1955.
Betty was an avid outdoor lady. She loved fishing, gardening and canning, hunting with Wallie, was always willing to help and never minded getting her hands dirty. Her joy in life was raising her children. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Betty is survived by her children, Duane; Jeffrey (Deanna), Scot, Daniel (Tammy); grandchildren, Melanie (Everett) Thomas, Amanda (Cody) Efaw; Kevin; great-grandchildren, Colt and Peyton Efaw, Emmerson and Mavrick Thomas; step-great-grandsons, Parker and Cooper Efaw; sisters, Mary Fernandez of Tampa, FL., Lavina Fehr and Carolyn Dean of Erie, PA. Betty is further survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Betty is preceded in death by her son, Kevin; parents; sisters, Helen Brooks, Margaret Graves, Virginia Ashley, Dorothy McKee, Catherine McKee and Gertrude Ondreako.
